I never planned to start a business.
Honestly, I just wanted a few cute warmers for my home.
When my best friend's daughter asked if I'd host a Facebook Scentsy party, I figured, "Why not?"
I had no idea that one little party would change the direction of my life.
I fell in love with the products almost immediately. There were warmers that were whimsical, elegant, rustic...there truly was something for everyone. Before long, I was completely hooked.
That first party was a wonderful success. I earned my Starter Kit for free, filled my home with products I loved, and booked several more parties.
Then something unexpected happened...
I realized I wasn't just sharing wax and warmers. I was building something that belonged to me.
I showed up every day. I learned. I made mistakes. I celebrated little victories. The customers and paychecks didn't magically appear—I worked for them—but it never felt like a burden because I genuinely loved what I was sharing.
Then I earned my very first incentive trip... An all-expenses-paid vacation to Disney World.
Walking into that park the first day changed everything.
Yes, the products were amazing. But what truly captured my heart was the people.
I met thousands of Consultants from all over the country. I met the founders. I experienced a company culture unlike anything I'd ever seen. It felt less like joining a business and more like finding a family.
That was the moment I knew this wasn't just a hobby anymore. It had become part of my life.
Today I've earned trips, awards, luggage, bonuses, and more Scentsy products than I can count.
But those aren't the things I'm most grateful for.
I'm grateful that I built a business that traveled with me. For years I ran my business right from our RV as my husband and I explored the country. Later it helped me create this little porch where River and I get to welcome people like you.
And if you're wondering...
"Do I need to carry inventory?" No.
"Do I have to meet monthly sales quotas?" No.
"Do I have to build a team to make money?" No.
You absolutely can if that's something you want, but plenty of people simply enjoy earning extra income by sharing products they already love.
Scentsy surprised me.
It isn't the typical "home party" company people imagine.
It's beautifully designed, high-quality products backed by a company that's been changing lives for more than twenty years.
I never expected to find a business I loved this much. And I certainly never expected it to change my life. But I'm so thankful it did.
If you're even a little curious, I'd love to answer your questions.
No pressure.
No sales pitch.
Just a conversation.
I'd love to hear your story, too
